Methodology

The project journey from need to maintenance

Understanding the need → Site assessment → Design & solution selection → Verification & testing → Procurement & installation → Handover & maintenance

01

Understanding the need

An initial conversation to understand the facility, objectives and constraints, without requesting sensitive information at this stage.

Output: Needs summary and initial scope

02

Site assessment

Studying the site, listing and prioritising assets, and reviewing operational constraints and safety requirements.

Output: Assessment report and zoning

03

Design and solution selection

Proposing options for each zone, developing them technically, and selecting suitable materials and suppliers.

Output: Conceptual design and compared options

04

Verification and testing

Coordinating prototypes, samples, testing and analysis with independent bodies where needed before application.

Output: Test plan and verification results

05

Procurement and installation

Procuring components and installing in phases, starting with priorities and coordinating with ongoing operations.

Output: Phased execution and documentation

06

Handover and maintenance

Documented handover and team training, followed by inspection, maintenance and upgrade programmes as the site evolves.

Output: Handover file and maintenance programme

Guiding principles

What guides decisions at every stage

Integration with site systems

Linking physical layers to existing detection, alarm and security management systems without obstructing firefighting and cooling.

Human decision

Any active system is studied on the basis that decisions remain with an authorised human operator, within the required permits.

Verification before application

No concept is applied before detailed design, independent testing and approval by the relevant authorities.

Discuss your facility's needs with ShieldMesh

Start with a general description of your need, and we will propose a path for studying the site and identifying suitable solutions. Please do not send drawings or sensitive security details through the public form.
