Overview
The concept
Telescopic masts stay folded around the tank in normal conditions, so cranes and maintenance are not obstructed. When the alert level rises, the masts extend and a net canopy opens over the roof, then folds away when the situation ends.
Proposed purpose
To study deployable protection for sites where a permanent canopy would interfere with operations and maintenance.
